Alaska Wild Guides is a crew of lifelong Alaskans who live for deep powder, mirror-calm fjords, and sharing both with curious travelers. Whether you’re carving fresh tracks beneath Denali, gliding by blue-hued glaciers on a jet sk...
This family-run operation delivers what reviewers are calling "epic" and "experience of a lifetime" adventures on jet skis to glaciers in Blackstone Bay. The guides get consistently glowing mentions, with Alex, Bryce, and Mark earning special praise for being knowledgeable, personable, and skilled photographers who capture incredible moments for guests. The tour hits multiple highlights: getting up close to massive glaciers, riding through waterfall spray, touching icebergs, and spotting marine wildlife like Dall's porpoises. The wetsuits keep everyone warm despite the cold conditions, and the small group size allows for personalized attention. What makes this stand out is the unique perspective of being so close to the water on a jet ski compared to traditional boat tours. Guides know when to push the speed for thrills and when to slow down for glacier calving opportunities. One guest mentioned wishing for slower pacing in some scenic areas, though they acknowledged that's more suited to boat tours. The consensus is clear: this is a must-do adventure that locals and repeat Alaska visitors rank as their absolute favorite experience.
Omggg this was one the best excursions I have ever done. The team was extremely knowledgeable and fun. I had some trouble getting comfortable with the snowmobile and was allowed to ride with the instructor instead. He made me feel very safe the entire time. The glacier was amazingly beautiful and the hot chocolate was definitely a great bonus on the trail. Please don't hesitate to book with these guys!
