Luke, Coda, and Aislynn have created something special in the Boulder area. Reviewers consistently praise how these guides blend deep astronomical knowledge with genuine teaching ability, making complex concepts accessible whether you're five or fifty. The small group sizes mean plenty of time for questions, and guests appreciate how patient and enthusiastic the team remains throughout the evening. Multiple families note how well the guides handle different age groups simultaneously, keeping energetic young kids engaged while satisfying curious teenagers with detailed scientific explanations. The actual stargazing delivers too. Expect to look through multiple high-quality telescopes at planets like Jupiter and Saturn, moon craters in stunning detail, nebulae, and distant galaxies. One guest captured moon photos through the telescope on just their phone. The tours run about two hours and cover constellation identification, folklore, and navigation alongside the telescope viewing. Even when clouds interfered, guests felt the educational component and the guides' expertise made it worthwhile. Just know it gets cold quickly after dark, so dress in layers.
An absolutely stellar experience with Luke and Aislynn! We viewed Jupiter and its moons, Vega, the Orion Nebula, and countless distant galaxies and celestial objects through various telescopes. It was breathtaking. What really impressed us, however, was how Luke and Aislynn managed our family dynamic. Our 5-year-old was both tired and very excited (a tough combination), and Luke handled the situation with exceptional care and professionalism, keeping the tour running smoothly when it easily could have been disrupted. At the same time, my older kids (13 and 11) were captivated by the science. They asked countless questions, and the guides provided detailed, kind, and knowledgeable answers. It was a rare experience that catered perfectly to both a curious teenager and a high-energy kindergartner. Highly recommend.
