Set on 90 forested acres in Hochatown, Beavers Bend Safari Park lets you roll down the windows and explore a 1.8-mile drive-thru teeming with life. More than 55 species—rhinos, zebras, lemurs, kangaroos, even the famed King George...
This family-friendly safari experience gets visitors up close with exotic animals through both a drive-through adventure and walk-around area. Most families rave about the interactive feeding opportunities, especially the Ultimate Package that includes encounters with animals like Ronnie the white rhino and gentle kangaroos. The staff consistently earns praise for being knowledgeable and friendly, and many reviewers appreciate how clean and well-maintained the facility is overall. It's particularly popular with kids who enjoy learning about animals while feeding them. There are some concerns worth noting about the walk-through section. A few visitors felt the monkey enclosures appeared small and mentioned cleanliness issues in those specific areas. The property doesn't allow service animals due to their private business designation, which disappointed several guests who felt this wasn't clearly communicated beforehand. Some visitors found the experience better suited for families with children rather than adult-only groups. Despite mixed feedback, the drive-through portion consistently gets top marks, with many recommending you purchase multiple cups of food so you don't run out at the feeding stations.
This place is definitely worth visiting while in town. By far the best animal attraction I've ever visited and I work with animals for a living. All of the animals were very well taken care of and playing. They were happy to socialize with us and eager to greet caretakers in passing. Great drive-in safari but also great walkabout as well, so do both when you stop in. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and set us up for a great experience.
