First - you will NOT see any Hopper paintings at this site! But you will enjoy learning about his family, childhood, and wife and see his earliest sketches along with the very views from his childhood bedroom that inspired him. There’s a well done short film, then a wander around the home. Everything was enhanced by an older woman (I think Eileen? Sorry I did not write down her name!) who brings the site to life. She’s full of knowledge about Hopper and Nyack, a real asset to this site and town! Afterwards, I wandered Nyack as well, making for a lovely few hours. Definitely worth the time and effort to visit!
