We booked a private surf lesson for the two of us, and our instructor, James, was fantastic — kind, patient, encouraging, and incredibly motivating. He made us feel comfortable from the very beginning and somehow managed to make us feel cautiously fearless out on the water! My husband had an outstanding time, and the entire experience ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The location is also super convenient, right on the beach near the Outrigger Reef, so it was incredibly easy for us. And as an added bonus, we even got to see sea turtles while we were out surfing! 🐢🌊 If you’re visiting Waikiki and have ever thought about trying surfing, DO IT!
