The 12-hour private tour, with community service activities (3 beach cleanups), with Michael of Hali'a Tours was amazing -- one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. He customized the tour sites and his sharing of Hawaiian culture, history, & ecology to my interests. It was like a day of adventures with a knowledgeable local friend who cared about me & my enjoyment of Oahu. We were never rushed, but I was able to experience so very much, ranging from extraordinary beaches to lush mountains to delicious foods and nearly all sides of Oahu. Michael & I had fun all day long, & I never felt tired -- in fact, I felt so very relaxed but also energized and inspired. I especially loved the opportunity to be a responsible guest who gives back to the Hawaiian community and environment through doing 3 beach cleanups throughout the day, but also take time just to hang out on the beaches, wade in the surf, explore, soak up the sun, etc. Of all of my travel experiences all over the world for more than 60 years, my Hali'a Tour of Oahu with Michael is undoubtedly on my top-ten all-time favorites.
