Love Heritage park sanctuary and their mission, and I really liked the idea of an evening event when it’s cool. Unfortunately the execution wasn’t good. I signed up after receiving an invite as a member but when we arrived they had one person checking people in and the line was quite long. The mosquitos were out in full force, I wish they would have given us a heads up that evenings bring them Out and to bring spray. Once in, it was dark (obviously), but we assumed incorrectly there would be pathway lights or staff with red lights to highlight the animals without disturbing them. A nice tweak would be to email attendees and ask us to bring red lights, or rent them out for the event. We did see two very kind docents at a couple enclosures with lights but that was all we were able to see. I think a few small tweaks would make this a terrific event! I will say seeing the black panther was magnificent:)
