Island Style Diving is the labor of love of Javier and Christina Cantellops, a master-level dive duo who blend elite credentials with authentic aloha. Their boutique charters launch at dawn, giving guests first access to Molokini’...
The crew here runs an impressively tight operation. Divers consistently praise the "valet style" service where staff like Javier, Christina, Katie, and John handle all the gear setup, breakdown, and cleaning. This lets guests truly relax between dives. The small boat means intimate groups, early arrival at Molokini Crater before crowds, and personalized attention from knowledgeable divemasters. Captains frequently spot whales during surface intervals, and many reviewers mention hearing whale song underwater. The briefings strike the right balance of detail without overdoing it, and newer divers especially appreciate how the team puts them at ease. The Molokini dives deliver stunning visibility (up to 120 feet), dramatic walls, and abundant marine life including reef sharks, octopus, eels, and countless fish schools. Most complaints center on boat amenities rather than the diving itself. One detailed review noted limited space for 16 people total, equipment issues like a broken shower, and concerns about uneven divemaster attention when struggling divers needed extra help. However, the overwhelming majority of recent feedback emphasizes professionalism, safety, and an experience that feels more like diving with friends than a commercial operation.
This is by far one of the best outfits I have dove with! VIP treatment, just to give you an idea, each BCD comes with standard with a Dive Computer, in over 30 years of diving that is a first for me! Literally all you have to do is dive and enjoy the dive! Javier and crew really took care of all of us!
