Steve, Eli, Ben, and Chris have built something genuinely special here. The instructors show up with patience, good energy, and real technique, breaking down surfing in a way that gets beginners on waves fast. Steve in particular comes up again and again in reviews, praised for his timing, encouragement, and ability to read the water for his students. Beyond lessons, the shop rents surf and snorkel gear at fair prices, and the location right across from the bay makes the whole thing incredibly convenient. Staff go out of their way to share local knowledge, like which spots to visit or when conditions are better, which reflects the kind of Aloha spirit that actually means something here. Ben, the owner, personally stepped in after hours for one guest to make things right, which says a lot about the culture he's built.
This is a great shop to rent your snorkel and other water gear from. I needed prescription snorkel and found this shop along the beach line. When I arrived 10 min before closing, I was greeted by Christopher with a warm welcome! I knew what I needed when I got there, so I rented my rx goggles/snorkel, 2 pairs of fins and a rash guard shirt. Being new to snorkeling I had questions. Christopher was really nice and gave me advice on gear to wear and advice on what I might need for a night snorkel tour to see mantas. He answered all my questions and got me my gear before closing. Christopher, you are awesome, thank you so much for the gear and your help. If you need gear, I would say this is the place to get it. Awesome prices and awesome help-conversations. Mahalo.
