We took a jet boat trip out of Talkeetna with Mahay's and had a great time. Israel was our captain and handled the boat with obvious skill, confident in the shallow, braided water and happy to answer questions whenever we pulled up somewhere. Amanda was our naturalist guide, and she was the reason the trip stuck with me. She was knowledgeable without being dry, read the group well, and pointed out things along the river we never would have noticed on our own. Between the two of them the pacing was just right. Well-run outfit with people who seem to like what they do.
