Family-owned Miss Ocean City has been sharing the magic of Maryland’s coastal bays for more than 40 years. Step onto the 52-foot, Coast Guard-certified vessel and let a crew with generations of local know-how guide you through thr...
Captain Anton and his crew consistently earn praise for creating a relaxed, family-friendly fishing atmosphere that keeps visitors coming back year after year. The mates, particularly Joel, Beau, and Damian, get standout mentions for being attentive and hardworking throughout trips, constantly helping with bait, untangling lines, and making sure everyone feels taken care of. Beyond the fishing itself, guests appreciate the bonus sightseeing around West Ocean City, including glimpses of Assateague's wild horses and occasional dolphin sightings. The three-hour trips hit a sweet spot for families with young children who want an introduction to fishing without the marathon commitment of longer charters. While catch success varies from trip to trip (as is typical with any fishing excursion), most visitors feel the reasonable pricing and friendly service make it worthwhile regardless. Lines can get tangled when the boat is particularly full, and one guest felt the captain moved between spots too frequently, but these seem like isolated concerns rather than recurring issues. The laid-back vibe and responsive crew make this a reliable choice for annual vacation traditions.
Just want to give a shout out to Capt Anton and Mate Damian for a great trip this morning on the Miss Ocean City. Three solid hours of fishing, 60 seconds out of the harbor and we were dropping lines for a drift. I think everyone on board had at least one hookup. Several of us had a few more! We had quite a few children on board, and on the way back, Capt Anton made sure the kids got to see the Assateague horses and the water battle on the pirate ship. If you are looking for a short fishing trip, on calm waters without the long haul offshore, affordable and family-oriented, I highly recommend Miss Ocean City!
