This rustic mountain retreat offers a genuinely relaxing soak experience with about ten pools ranging from 98 to 109 degrees, all fed by therapeutic mineral waters. The clothing-optional policy extends throughout the pool area, which longtime visitors appreciate as part of the authentic, laid-back vibe. Staff members consistently get praised for being welcoming and helpful, and the on-site amenities include a communal kitchen with complimentary beverages, massage services, camping spots, and a handful of overnight rooms that book up quickly. The facilities show their age in spots. Changing rooms and lockers could use some updating and tend to feel cramped when crowds arrive. A few regulars mention the atmosphere has shifted somewhat, with more families and clothed bathers than in years past, though most still find it peaceful and non-creepy. There's an outdoor shooting range nearby that occasionally breaks the mountain serenity. The no-electronics policy keeps things private and unplugged. Day passes include in-and-out privileges, making it easy to spend an entire day soaking, stargazing, and genuinely unwinding in a secluded Colorado setting.
Love this place. My only concern is allowing children to go nude. You never know what kind of person is looking at them. I feel this should not be allowed.
