The volcanoes were playing hide and seek under cloud cover all week, so although we weren't able to take the originally planned trip, pilot Jim expertly flew us around the coastline, past waterfalls, took us over some amazing lava features, we got to see Fissure 8, and was full of information. He was happy to answer questions and made the trip super comfortable and informative. My brother-in-law is a pilot and was very impressed. Despite the spotty weather, we are so appreciative that Safari was still able to get us up for a super fun tour. We spanned age 80 down to 15 and everybody loved it. Be flexible! The weather on this side of the island and over the National Park is extremely unpredictable.
