Sea Racer Myrtle Beach runs the Grand Strand’s largest speedboat, a 70-ft, twin-engine “Sea Racer,” to deliver 90-minute adventures that fuse roller-coaster speed with dolphin-watching and coastal sightseeing. Departing from Littl...
Sea Racer delivers consistently impressive dolphin sightings, with guests regularly reporting encounters with large pods of 50 or more dolphins. Captain Emily, Captain Terry, and deckhand Ireland get enthusiastic shoutouts for being funny, knowledgeable, and genuinely entertaining throughout the tours. Multiple visitors loved the experience so much they went back for a second trip during the same vacation, which speaks volumes about the quality. The boat ride itself is part of the adventure. One thing to note: the intensity of the ride can vary depending on your captain and conditions. Some trips are thrilling and wet, with the boat flying across the water, while others are more relaxed and calm. If you're prone to motion sickness, taking Dramamine beforehand is smart. The crew clearly knows where to find dolphins and shares interesting local history along the way, making this more than just wildlife watching. Families especially seem to love it, with kids asking to go again immediately after.
Went out today from 2-3:30. Well worth the price. Weather was great. We did see quite a few dolphins. The size of the boat is perfect. Not too big or small. The music was a great plus. Definitely recommend and would do it again.
