The guides here absolutely make the experience, and reviewers can't say enough about them. Grace (or Gracie) gets mentioned repeatedly for her infectious energy and storytelling abilities, while Elizabeth, Lexi, Tom, Michael, and Denny all earn glowing praise for bringing Colonial Williamsburg's spooky history to life. What stands out is how knowledgeable and passionate these guides are, transforming what could be dry historical facts into engaging, interactive adventures that keep everyone entertained. Families especially appreciate how well the tours work across age groups. Kids as young as 10-12 stay captivated by the ghost stories and pirate legends, while adults genuinely enjoy the historical insights woven throughout. The guides show real dedication to their craft (one even powered through an injury without missing a beat) and create an inclusive atmosphere where special needs guests and even well-behaved dogs feel welcome. The balance between genuinely spooky tales and authentic history keeps things fun without being overly cheesy, and the professionalism extends from the initial booking confirmation straight through to the end of the tour.
Magical!!! Highly recommended!! Lexi was very knowledgeable and overall amazing! Being able to walk down cobblestone streets and see the buildings at night via lamplight is a tremendous experience. Before going on this particular tour, we looked at others, but they only lasted an hour. This tour lasted 1-1/2 hours and very well worth the money! We will absolutely go on this tour again! While at the Wythe House, I snapped two photos within less than 3 minutes of one another and what showed was shocking! Note the first two pictures are of the front of the building. The next two are of the upper row of windows, second window from the right. These photos have not been doctored or edited, except to make the images larger. If you're on the fence about going, DO IT!!
