We took the 4-hour Chulitna River trip and had an amazing time! Our river guide Bryan was awesome! He was very knowledgeable about the area and also very funny and just a pleasure to share a boat with! We took a break at about the half way point to stretch our legs and use "the green door", if you know what I mean. Buyer Beware: after booking this trip all my emails stated the trip was from 1 - 5 pm, which is not true. We met at 1 pm, and by the time we got on the river it was about 2:30 pm. It's called a 4-hour float trip because that is how much time approximately you spend on the water -- it is NOT the total amount of time you will be on this exercsion. We got off the river at 6:15 pm, and by the time we walked back to the office it was about 6:30 pm. So, in all reality this trip is about 5.5 hours total, NOT 4 hours, which is important to know if you make plans to do something afterwards. But you definitely should go on this river trip if you are looking for something fun to do in Talkeetna!
