New York Boat Co. has been welcoming guests onto the Hudson River from Peekskill since 2010, offering public cruises and private charters with a warm, easygoing touch. As a small local crew, they pair scenic river views and a bit ...
If you're looking for a peaceful way to experience the Hudson River, this outfit consistently delivers. Passengers rave about the knowledgeable captain and friendly crew who make every trip memorable with their humor, helpfulness, and insightful commentary about local landmarks and Hudson Valley history. The boat itself is clean, charming, and surprisingly spacious for smaller groups, creating an intimate atmosphere that's perfect for date nights or family outings. The scenic cruises between Peekskill and Bear Mountain offer breathtaking views, and reviewers love the relaxed vibe throughout. They offer drinks featuring local spirits and snacks to enjoy while you cruise. One helpful tip from regulars: arrive early to snag the best seats, particularly the bench-style seating at the back of the boat (though some mention bringing a cushion if you have back issues). The crew stands out for their accessibility efforts too, going above and beyond to accommodate guests with mobility needs and ensure everyone gets prime viewing spots.
Looking for a nice trip for the entire family, adult children, grandson. This was a perfect one and half hour cruise on the Hudson with a wonderful captain and crew member that was engaging and informative. The history of the river is fascinating and the weather the day we went did not disappoint. The bonus coming back was a fireboat. Honestly I can't wait to return, right in my own backyard. Thank you.
