Ultimate Boating Adventures welcomes guests of all ages and experience levels to explore the waters of Waianae with Captain T-Rex. From offshore big-game trolling with a dynamic selection of lures to nearshore bottom fishing for l...
We had family in town visiting, and my nephew’s primary request, besides Leonard’s malasada puffs, was an off-shore fishing trip. He used a booking service for sport fishers on Oahu, and we were lucky to be directed towards “Ultimate Boating Adventures.” I’ve fished off-shore a few times in my life, but this trip, and operator, stand out as the best! Captain T-Rex, and his son Ebi, ran a top notch charter, on a solid, sea-worthy Blackfin Sportsfishimg Trawler. We were asked to bring our own food and soft drinks, which was no problem for us. After a safety and fishing briefing, at Wainae boat harbor, on board, we headed out to sea. It was evident from the get go that these guys wanted to catch us some fish. They started scouting for bird piles, and other signs of fish, immediately. Eventually we found some large bird piles. The lures were switched and adjusted as we tried different things to find what the fish were into that day. Eventually, we got positioned right in the pile and hooked our first fish. A 20 lb. Skip Jack or Aku! We went back through again, and hooked 4 more, successfully getting all of them on board. T-Rex and Ebi, weren’t only expert fishermen and boat handlers, they enjoyed sharing therir knowledge, history, and just generally talking story. All of this made for a primo day on some of Oahu’s best fishing waters. I highly recommend this company for your sport fishing excitement!
