Strataca was amazing! My daughter and I bought the Combo package and enjoyed the self-guided walk through the museum and vault area, as well as the Salt Safari with Aaron and the Dark Ride with Dennis. They were knowledgeable and patient guides who related a lot of details about the history and features of the mine. The extent of the mine tunnels was astounding, and the different mineral formations were very interesting. A portion of the former mine is storage for film memorabilia and important documents. There is also an exhibit on cold war preparations and sheltering that was rather chilling. If you are in the Hutchinson-Wichita area, I highly recommend a visit to Strataca.
