Waccamaw River Tours invites guests to experience Myrtle Beach’s quieter, wilder side aboard a comfortable pontoon boat. This locally owned team leads narrated journeys along the cypress-lined Waccamaw River, Intracoastal Waterway...
I came at almost the very end of the season, and while we didn't manage to spot much wildlife (yellow-bellied slider turtles and turkey vultures only), it was an entertaining ride featuring local history, jokes, recommendations, osprey nests and their stories, and cool trees and vegetation. The people running the place were very welcoming and kind. They gave out samples of the special tupelo honey (extra sweet and doesn't crystalize). Check out the gift shop, too!
