Tandem flight, Certified instructor
Fly tandem with a USHPA-certified instructor for a smooth 1,000 ft descent from the slopes of Haleakala. No experience needed—just a short run for takeoff and a quiet glide back to the landing zone.
Must be at least 14, physically able to run, and weigh under approximately 250 lbs. Wear shoes you can run in; long pants and a jacket are recommended. There are no restroom facilities at the meeting area.

Drive up “Waipoli Rd.” for 1.3 miles. After you cross a cattle guard and go through an open gate you are almost there. Look for our Paraglide Maui signs and our ‘office’ on the left – a green picnic table with a red umbrella.

You can feel the love that the staff have for paragliding through the entire experience. Overall, 10/10 experience a definite must do when visiting Maui! Side note; The hike isn’t a normal part of the experience, due to the storms the road was closed to vehicle traffic, normally they would van you to the jump point.
