Yes. Bring your own food plus alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are also provided. Do not bring hard-sided coolers (there isn’t room to stow them), but the crew can help keep drinks cool in their cooler.
Wear rubber, soft-soled sneakers/tennis shoes or sandals. Do not wear high heels. It’s typically cooler on the water near sunset, so bring a light jacket or sweater.

Sailing on the Schooner Manitou or the smaller Scout is one of those experiences that consistently earns glowing praise, and it's easy to see why. Captain Jamie, Captain Mark, and their crews bring a genuinely warm, knowledgeable energy to every trip, whether it's a casual two-hour evening sail or a multi-day overnight adventure. Guests frequently highlight how the crew involves passengers in the actual sailing process, from steering the ship to handling lines, which makes it feel participatory rather than just a boat ride. The food and hospitality get called out repeatedly, with gourmet meals on longer charters and local Moomers ice cream on day sails both earning high marks. Private charters for weddings and group events seem particularly well-handled, with smooth communication and attentive service. One practical note: if you're sailing in the early spring, the below-deck areas can get quite cold, so packing extra layers is worth doing.
Tall Ship Sailing is a must visit when you're in TC! We wanted a charter for a specific day for our Wedding and they worked to make it happen! From start to finish they made it effortless on our part with their timely communication and friendly demeanor with what seemed like our constant questions. The day of the crew were beyond amazing and took the best care of us and our guests. The food was amazing and even seconds were requested by guests!! Tall Ship Sailing super exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be Sailing again with them!
