Important details

• You're responsible for damage to the boat and may also be charged for lost rental revenue caused by significant damage. These charges are not included in the listed price; no amounts are specified
• A liability waiver applies to the rental and the inherent risks of water sports
• Passengers must wear properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets at all times. Use child-sized life jackets for children, and assign a responsible adult to supervise each child. Never leave anyone who needs supervision unattended
• Do not consume alcohol while operating the boat or allow anyone impaired by alcohol or drugs to operate it
• Keep everyone off the bow platform, sides, stern and swim platform while the boat is moving. Explain the safety zone around the boat, which extends 30 feet behind and around it
• Before anyone enters that safety zone or swims, dives or jumps near the boat, turn off the motor, remove the keys and wait 10 seconds for the propeller to stop. Never jump or dive from a moving boat, and check water depth before head-first diving. Engine exhaust can expose people near the boat to dangerous carbon monoxide
• Count everyone on board before starting the motor. Keep someone who knows how to operate the boat aboard whenever it is unanchored, and use the engine cut-off device if fitted
• Operate at a safe speed for the conditions, obey no-wake signs and allow room to stop: the boat has no brakes. Follow local boating laws and the safety orientation covering local hazards and emergencies
• Yield to boats approaching from your right and to sailboats. Steer right when meeting another boat head-on. When overtaking, leave plenty of room and yield; normally pass on the left, or on the right if conditions require it. Slow down, steer away or stop to avoid a collision
• Use navigation and anchor lights at night or in poor visibility. Assign a separate lookout whenever your view is obstructed. Five short horn or whistle blasts signal danger or a need for assistance
• Anchor only from the front of the boat, where other boats can easily see you and conditions allow anchoring. Keep the boat secure, and do not use a generator unless it is supplied with the rental
