This marina on Lake Mead has built a loyal following, with many visitors returning year after year for boat rentals ranging from simple pontoon boats to massive houseboats complete with A/C, TVs, and even an elevator to the roof deck. The scenery and lake access are consistently praised, and the overall staff experience leans positive, with multiple reviewers highlighting how employees go above and beyond, including one GM who personally drove guests to the airport when their ride fell through. A few reviews do mention one particular front desk staff member who came across as rude or short during check-in, which is worth noting since it seems to come up more than once. That said, the on-water staff and mechanics consistently earn praise for their helpfulness and enthusiasm. Practical tips from regulars: bring your own supplies since the snack store closes early, note that water levels are lower than historical norms, and take photos during your pre-rental boat inspection just to keep everyone on the same page. The restaurant and bar have been closed for some time, though there are hopes of a future reopening. Overall, this is a solid choice for a day trip or multi-day escape on the water.

What people are saying

We’ve had our boat at Calville Bay Marina for the last two years, and honestly, we couldn’t be happier. The admin team is always great to work with. They’re friendly, on top of things, and make everything easy. The marina crew is just as awesome, whether it’s the water shuttle, land shuttle, fuel dock, or the store. Everyone is always willing to help and genuinely cares about the people keeping their boats there. The location is hard to beat. You’re just minutes from the Narrows, with endless coves and quiet spots to anchor if you’re looking to get away from the crowds. If you’re in the mood for a more social day, the party beaches are close enough that you’re never far from the action either. The marina is clean, well run, and has a great vibe. It’s one of those places where you actually enjoy showing up. We love having our boat here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Calville Bay Marina to anyone looking for an awesome place to keep their boat.
