Important details
- Arrive at the kayak/canoe building 30 minutes before your reserved time; reservations more than 30 minutes late are cancelled and craft reassigned
- Arrive at the park by 8 AM during peak visitation, when vehicle entry may reach capacity early
- Ages 18+ only to rent; each renter age 18+ needs an original photo ID, not a copy
- Minors require a parent or legal guardian in the party
- Single kayaks and paddleboards require ages 14+ with adult supervision; kayaks require ages 6+ with an adult, while children under 6 may ride only in a canoe with an adult
- Children under 30 lbs require their own U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket
- Weight limits: 350 lbs for a single kayak, 500 lbs total for a tandem kayak, 400 lbs for a 2-seat canoe, and 275 lbs for a paddleboard
- Stay between St. Johns green channel markers 69 and 77; watercraft are not allowed in the spring run
- Wear a fastened life jacket and remain in your craft; swimming, beach landings, boarding other boats, and passenger exchanges are not allowed
- Leave alcohol and pets behind
- Expect departures in rain; launches pause when lightning is reported within 5 miles of the launch area
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours before start for a full refund. Same-day bookings are nonrefundable. Cancellations within 24 hours may be rebooked. No-shows are not eligible for a refund or rebooking. Full refund if the operator cancels before departure.

FAQs
Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and an original photo ID for each renter age 18 or older. Bring a waterproof dry bag for belongings if needed and binoculars for birding. Wear footwear that can get wet during the beach launch.
Present your reservation confirmation on your phone to the park ranger directing the car line. The park may reach vehicle capacity early during manatee season and summer.
