Itinerary
- Day 1: Academic and pool training — 08:00
Start with an optional complimentary transfer from your Cairns or Northern Beaches accommodation, as far as Palm Cove.

Register at the Pro Dive training centre.
- 08:45
Begin academic training in the classroom.
- 12:30
Take a lunch break. Lunch is not included.
- 13:30
Practise your diving skills during pool training.
- 17:30
Return with the complimentary hotel transfer service, if you wish.
- Day 2: Academic and pool training — 07:30
Take the optional complimentary transfer from your Cairns or Northern Beaches accommodation, as far as Palm Cove.

Continue your pool training.
- 12:30
Visit the Pro Dive retail shop.

Take a lunch break. Lunch is not included.

Continue classroom training and take your final exam.
- 17:45
Take the complimentary hotel transfer or a transfer to the optional 2.5-hour Reef Teach marine biology presentation to learn about the reef and its fish. The presentation costs extra and is not included in the listed price. No transfer is available after Reef Teach.
- Day 3: Dive the Outer Great Barrier Reef — 05:45
Take the optional complimentary transfer from your Cairns city or Northern Beaches accommodation.

Check in at the Pro Dive retail shop on the corner of Shields and Grafton Streets.

Depart Cairns for 3 days and 2 nights of diving and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a light breakfast onboard.

Make your first ocean training dive.
- 12:45
Enjoy lunch with soup, fresh salads, cold meats and bread rolls.
- 14:30
Complete your second training dive.
- 18:00
Sit down to dinner onboard.
- Day 4: More diving — 07:00
Make your third training dive before breakfast, the deepest training dive of your certification.

Enjoy breakfast with cereal, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, toast and spreads.

Complete your fourth and final training dive.
- 12:00
Have hot pasta and fresh salads for lunch.
- 15:00
Make your first certified dive.
- 18:00
Enjoy dinner onboard.
- 19:00
Explore the reef on a guided night dive.
- Day 5: More diving and return to Cairns — 06:30
Start with your first dive of the day.
- 07:30
Enjoy a hot breakfast with fresh fruit salad, cereals and toast.

Travel to the trip's final dive site for your second dive of the day.
- 11:00
Make your last dive, then enjoy freshly made sandwiches as the vessel heads back to Cairns.
- 16:00
Return to your Cairns city or Northern Beaches accommodation with a complimentary transfer.
- 19:30
Join your fellow passengers and crew at a local restaurant for an optional farewell dinner.

Important details
- Ages 13+ only
- Requires swimming 200 metres or snorkelling 300 metres, plus treading water or floating for 10 minutes
- Complete the Entry Level Student Dive Medical Declaration before starting the course
- This activity is not wheelchair- or stroller-accessible
- The listed price excludes a $100 per-person fee for the Government Environmental Charge, Port Departure Tax and administration costs. You'll pay this directly to Pro Dive Cairns at check-in
- A further AUD 25 per-person fuel and operating-cost surcharge is not included in the listed price and is collected at check-in
- Transfers from your property in the Northern Beaches, as far as Palm Cove, cost AUD 25 each way. The six transfers for this course total AUD 150, payable on site and not included in the listed price
- Accommodation in Cairns for the first two nights and lunches during the first two training days are not included
- Do not fly within 24 hours after diving
- English-language courses are offered every day except Sunday
- For property pickup, arrive in the lobby 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Transfers are shared, so pickup may be early or late
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours before the activity date (Cairns local time) for a full refund. If the operator cancels due to unforeseen events or extreme weather, you can reschedule or request a full refund.
