You will be told the day before whether to buy an Ontario license (required for everyone 18+ when fishing Ontario waters) or a Michigan license (required for everyone 17+ when fishing Michigan waters).
Wear proper clothing for the day and consider bringing a hat, jacket, sweatshirt, and rain gear. Wear boat shoes, tennis shoes, or water shoes. For safety, do not wear flip flops, work boots, or black-soled shoes.
Bring sunglasses and sunblock, plus any daily medications (including motion sickness pills if needed). Pack food, snacks, and drinks/water, and bring a camera if you want photos.
