Yes. You need a fishing license, and you’ll be told the day before whether to buy an Ontario or Michigan license. The trip primarily fishes Ontario waters, but may fish Michigan waters during certain weather or seasons. Only purchase your 1-day license the day before the trip.
Wear proper clothing for the day (hat, jacket, sweatshirt, and rain gear as needed). Choose boat shoes, tennis shoes, or water shoes. For safety, avoid flip flops. Do not wear work boots or black-soled shoes.
Bring sunglasses, sunblock, a camera, food/snacks/drinks/water, daily medications, and motion-sickness pills if needed (Dramamine).
