9:00-30 am | Grand Canyon Visitors Center| South Kaibab trail | We arrive at the Canyon and after a bathroom break we gear up and load the Park shuttle bus system. We will take our snacks/ water & lunches with us as we go to explore this wonder of the world!

10:00 am Begin hike to Cedar Ridge – 3 miles (4.8 km) round trip| As we descend into the Canyon the geology comes to life. The trail offers multiple options to “rock talk” as we walk! TrekWest guides are great to provide the Grand Canyon geology information is a way that is easy to understand while being accurate and fun! (yes geology can be fun)

12:00-1:30 pm | Picnic lunch trailside| Enjoy your delicious lunch, you’ve earned it. Nothing tastes better than a lunch with a great view. We offer time to explore our surroundings and take some photos. Cedar Ridge is outfitted with a pit toilet, in case you need the piece of mind.

1:30 pm | Begin Return Hike to South Kaibab Trailhead | As we return to the Visitor center, we stop as much as needed to catch our breath. Going down the trail can be “easy”, but we have got to hike back out. The elevation drop to Cedar Ridge is 1,200ft (366 meters) so plan for drinking plenty of water and taking it one step at time. Your guide will bring extra water & snacks to ensure a safe hiking experience.

My Grand Canyon experience with TrekWest Tours was absolutely incredible. Wes was nothing short of a true professional from the moment we left Flagstaff all the way through the Grand Canyon adventure. His driving was safe and professional, and he guided the hiking experience with patience, knowledge, and a great attitude.e Wes made me appreciate the beauty and wonder of the Grand Canyon even more. His knowledge about the canyons, their formation, and the history surrounding them was uncanny. He explained everything with so much passion and clarity, which made the entire experience even more fascinating and memorable. The views were breathtaking, the hike was unforgettable, and the entire trip was well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend TrekWest Tours to anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free Grand Canyon experience. Thank you, Wes, for such an amazing adventure!
