Lead Climbing Lesson in Whitefish

Build the techniques needed to lead single-pitch sport and traditional rock climbs. Develop movement, gear, anchor, and safety skills through ground school, mock leads, and practical climbing.

Itinerary

8:00am - Gear check & discuss plan for the day 8:30am - Drive to location 9:30am - Introduce skills (Ground School & mock leads) 12-12:30pm - Lunch Break(Often we eat as we work on skills) 12:30-4:00pm - Practical skills(Mock & real leads) 4:00 - Debrief & wrap up the day

Important details

• No prior climbing experience is required
• A Montana Conservation License is required for all Point of Rocks trips
• Arrange your own transportation to the climbing location
• Bring weather-appropriate layers, lunch, snacks, and water
• Bring a helmet, harness, rock and approach shoes, backpack, carabiners, draws, belay device, prusik, slings, and cordelettes
• Helmets, harnesses, and rock shoes are required and available to rent if needed
• Replacement costs for guide equipment lost or damaged by you are not included in the listed price
