Yes. Buy a 1-day fishing license online, but only purchase it the day before your trip. You’ll be told the day before whether you need an Ontario license (ages 18+) or a Michigan license (ages 17+).
Wear proper clothing for the day (hat, jacket, sweatshirt, and rain gear). For footwear, choose boat shoes, tennis shoes, or water shoes. Don’t wear flip-flops, work boots, or black-soled shoes.
Bring sunglasses, sunblock, a camera, food/snacks, drinks and water, and any daily medications (including motion-sickness pills like Dramamine if needed).
