Private cruise, Captain, Drinks
Explore the south end of Puget Sound on a 90-minute private cruise aboard the classic 28’ motorboat “Manna.” Relax on cushioned bench seating as your captain takes you out from Boston Harbor Marina.
Boarding requires two medium steps from the dock into the boat; moving inside the cabin involves a chest-high hatch and small steps. Swimming is only allowed with captain permission and requires signing a swim waiver; towels and swimwear are not provided. Bring your own drinking water.
Cancel 2 weeks in advance for a full refund. Reschedule 2 weeks in advance with no extra fee; otherwise a reschedule fee of 25% of the booking cost applies. No refunds due to wildfire smoke. If severe wind or thunderstorms are forecast, the operator will contact you to reschedule.
Bring your own drinks and snacks if you’d like. No food is provided, and drinking water is not provided, so bring your own. You’ll also get a welcome beverage once you’re underway.
Use the shore restrooms before boarding. On the boat, you can use a small toilet in the main cabin, but getting inside requires stepping through a chest-high hatch and down a few small steps on a step ladder.
To board, step down from the dock into the boat (two medium-sized steps); the crew can assist. Once onboard, you can sit right away. The boat may rock side to side as people move around, and entering the cabin can be challenging for guests with limited mobility.
Boston Harbor Marina
Cosima and her crew have built something genuinely special on the water in Olympia. Guests rave about the warmth and knowledge the family brings to every outing, and the personal touches, like complimentary cocktails, cozy wood-burning stoves, and stunning views of Mount Rainier and the Olympics, make each cruise feel like a carefully curated experience rather than a generic boat tour. The fleet includes a classic schooner and the Manna, a charming trawler with a sun deck and enclosed seating perfect for year-round sailing. Reviewers consistently highlight how close to the water you feel on both vessels, and the BYOB and bring-your-own-food policy makes it easy to customize the outing. Sunset cruises and special occasions like birthdays and even weddings come up frequently, with Cosima going out of her way to make those moments memorable. One minor piece of feedback that surfaced was that communication between the captain and passengers could be a little tricky when the boat is underway, though this came from a single reviewer and didn't seem to dampen anyone's overall enjoyment. If you're looking for a relaxed, scenic escape with genuine hosts who clearly love what they do, this one is worth booking.
I cannot say enough good things about the experience yesterday. The schooner is so beautiful, and it was interesting to hear about Cosima and Ocean's history and the love their family has for sailing and how this ship came to be. They were the perfect hosts, and it was such a delightful cruise and wonderful way to spend a birthday. I'm already thinking of when we can come back for another excursion. Highly recommend as a gorgeous way to explore the area!
