Meet, feed, and hike alongside alpacas on a working Indiana farm
90 Minutes
Alpaca feeding, Guided farm hike, Souvenir
Start with an alpaca Q&A, then get close enough to feed them by hand. Take a short farm hike with haltered alpacas and learn how their fiber becomes clothing and accessories.
Free cancellation with 24 hours' notice. No-shows are charged the full price. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Dress for the weather and outdoor conditions. Wear closed-toe shoes or boots for grass, gravel, uneven ground, and potentially muddy areas after rain.
All participants must sign a waiver before the activity.
After the experience, you may stay and enjoy the farm for a while. Cross the suspension bridge, hike the trails, or bring a picnic lunch for the welcome barn or wooded picnic tables.

My family/extended family just finished our stay in the farmhouse and it was amazing. Our hosts Tim and Beth were super accommodating. The adults enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and all of our children enjoyed the farm including a new litter of lively kittens. It was extremely nice to see them get up and be eager to explore the farm instead of grabbing a device. We booked the property as part of an annual family vacation to Lake Shafer and wanted to stay over so that family coming from all over Indiana wouldn’t have to drive back home after leaving the amusement park. Both adults and children have voted to return to Heritage Farms very soon. 100 stars! Great family fun.
