Know before you go
- Ages 14+ only
- Ages 14–17 require a parent or guardian-signed liability waiver and guardian supervision throughout the excursion
- Requires walking about 1 mile in broken sections, getting in and out of a packraft, and paddling for 3–4 hours with breaks
- Not recommended for mobility issues and not wheelchair or walker accessible
- Wear water shoes suitable for wet cobble rock, sand, and mud; old sneakers or boots are suitable
- Bring layers, sunscreen, sunglasses, and extra water or non-alcoholic drinks if needed
- River conditions and water levels may prevent the trip from operating
- Gratuity is not included in the listed price
Cancellation Policy
Cancel more than 30 days before your tour for a full refund. Within 14–30 days, switch dates; if unavailable, receive a 50% refund. No refunds within 14 days. If the operator cancels, reschedule or receive a full refund.
FAQs
A drysuit is included to help keep you dry in the cold water, but expect your water shoes, boots, or old sneakers to be wet by the end of the day.
Bring a hat, bug spray, extra socks, water or other non-alcoholic beverages, and any extra snacks you want. Wear layers and wet-wading footwear.
After orientation and practice, the river trip may be canceled if you are not assessed as able to stay safe on the river. An easier paddle in Homer harbor may be offered if the schedule allows.
