- Ages 14 and under cannot paddle alone; one adult is required per child
- Adults paddling with children need moderate fitness and may do most or all of the paddling
- Ages 15–17 require a supervising adult to attend and sign waivers; one adult per teen is not required
- For anyone weighing 30 lbs or less, bring your own Coast Guard-approved life jacket
- Ages 14 and under must wear a life jacket at all times on the water
