Babcock Ranch Eco Tours, 8000 State Road 31, Punta Gorda, FL 33982
This tour delivers an authentic "old Florida" experience that keeps visitors coming back across different seasons. Guides like Andrew, Ken, Brad, and Michelle consistently earn praise for being not just knowledgeable but genuinely entertaining and warm. They navigate you through four distinct ecosystems where you'll encounter an impressive variety of wildlife—alligators, wild hogs, deer, birds, and more. The highlight for many is driving right through the swamp water with gators swimming alongside, plus the chance to hold a baby alligator. Families seem to love this experience, with even toddlers enjoying the adventure. The guides throw corn to attract animals that follow the bus, creating interactive moments that feel special without being overly staged. Many visitors mention returning multiple times to see how the landscape and wildlife change with the seasons, which speaks to the tour's lasting appeal. The property also includes a museum, gift shop with local honey, and a restaurant serving burgers that get positive mentions. It's clearly a well-rounded operation where the staff genuinely cares about giving guests a memorable glimpse into Florida's natural heritage.
Pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed the history of the area and animals. Thank you Brad! We absolutely loved the tour and will definitely return. I would recommend bringing a towel to lay on the seat and a neck fan it does get a little toasty at times but nothing unbearable.
