New England EcoAdventures delivers consistently excellent whale watching trips with knowledgeable crew members who clearly love what they do. Captain Gary, Captain Jack, David, Wes, and the rest of the team get rave reviews for their expertise and dedication to finding whales. Guests regularly spot multiple humpbacks, along with seals, dolphins, and occasional surprises like sea turtles. The smaller boat size is a major advantage, allowing captains to maneuver quickly and get close to the action. The naturalists on board provide engaging commentary and even follow up with additional information after trips. The intimate boat experience means you'll feel the ocean spray and speed across the water, which most guests find exhilarating. However, when seas are choppy, the ride out can be bumpy for extended periods, so those with back or joint concerns should consider conditions carefully. One guest noted the ride felt rough on their spine after prolonged bouncing. That said, the fast boat is part of the appeal for many, and the company operates tours beyond whale watching, including scenic lighthouse tours and kayak rentals. Customer service stands out too, with the owner showing flexibility when guests encountered navigation issues. Just remember to bring sunscreen, layers for wind chill, and realistic expectations since whale sightings can never be guaranteed.
Capt Jack and David were awesome!!! We had the most amazing tour on Sept 29, 2025. We saw a total of 5 whales - 2 were together at 2 different times. David was very informative about the whales we saw and Boone Island. Capt Jack gave us the best boat ride. I would highly recommend using them! I hope your experience will be just as great as ours especially since they can’t guarantee you will see a whale.
