This authentic surf shop stands out for genuinely caring about its customers, with owner Tony and his team consistently going above and beyond. Multiple visitors mention how responsive and helpful the staff are, whether you're renting equipment, taking lessons, or even getting repairs done. The vibe feels like a real local business rather than a generic beach rental spot, and customers appreciate that authenticity. The lessons get especially high marks, with instructors like Eric and Chad praised for their patience and teaching skills. First-timers regularly report standing up on boards during their sessions, and the kids' camps are popular for good reason. Rentals are equally smooth, covering everything from surfboards to paddle boards and kayaks, with flexible options like delivery service. Long-time customers keep coming back year after year, which tells you something. If you're looking for legitimate surf instruction and equipment with people who genuinely know what they're doing, this is the place.

What people are saying

Excellent experience! We traveled with our two dogs, and it was quite hard to find a dog-friendly kayak tour. VB Surf Sessions does have pet information on their website, so we decided to give it a try. The experience turned out amazing! Our instructor, Mark, was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful! We did call-in a day before to let them know about our dogs. Mark brought us 2 big kayaks instead of the single-person ones, to make us and the dogs feel comfortable, more space and stable. He also brought towels for our dogs. Really appreciate all he did for us. We were quite worried about having dogs would cause troubles on the kayak, but Mark made the entire tour super welcoming!
