No. You receive a short sea-kayaking and safety orientation before the Caines Head kayak and hike.
Wear synthetic or wool layers, rain gear, comfortable hiking shoes, and a hat. Bring a water bottle, lunch or snacks, sunscreen, any needed medication, and a headlamp or flashlight for Fort McGilvray. Consider gloves, extra socks, sunglasses, and a beanie or sun hat depending on conditions.
Let your guide know before the trip if you need extra rain gear, paddling mittens, neoprene booties, a dry bag, or a seat pad.
