Important details
- Ages 4+ only
- Requires comfort around water and the ability to follow river safety instructions
- A valid Tennessee fishing license and trout stamp are required if you plan to fish
- Arrange your own transportation to and from the river; shuttle service is not included
- Sign a waiver before entering the river
- Wear the provided lifejacket while on the river and follow posted safety instructions and river guidelines. Use caution near dams and moving water
- Do not litter or enter private property along the river. Alcohol abuse is not permitted
- Launch times, routes, and river access may change with weather, river conditions, or Center Hill Dam generation schedules. Water releases can change without notice
- Arrive 30–45 minutes before your scheduled check-in time
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations 15+ days before check-in. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable but may receive a raincheck or reschedule within the current season. No-shows are non-refundable. Reservations may be rescheduled due to weather or Center Hill Dam generation schedule changes. All rainchecks and reschedules must be used within the current season.

No. The self-guided river rental is beginner-friendly, and no kayaking experience is required.
Wear a swimsuit or quick-dry clothing and river shoes or sandals with straps. Bring water or sports drinks, snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and waterproof bags or a waterproof phone case for your river outing. Food, drinks, and waterproof gear are not included.
