Travel through Tombstone to the Dragoon Mountains, then hike from the Cochise Stronghold trailhead through a backcountry landscape of pink granite domes and rock formations. Along the way, see Native American rock art and Council Rocks.
Hiking shoes and long pants are required. Expect uneven ground and/or loose rock. No technical climbing equipment or expertise is required.
