Important details

• Boat operators must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license. Bring your license.
• Outboard motor experience, knowledge of boating rules, and demonstrated safe boat handling are required. No boater's license is needed. Your rental may be refused if you cannot operate and maneuver safely.
• A shellfish license is required to harvest crabs.
• Children's participation may be restricted because of unfavorable conditions.
• Lost or damaged equipment charges are not included in the listed price. Replacement charges are $90 per crab ring, $3 per bait pin, $3 per crab measurer, and $5 per bucket. Other damage or abnormal wear is charged at market repair or replacement rates.
• Returning more than 15 minutes late without notice results in a $50 charge for extra usage and a late fee, not included in the listed price.
• Turn right and travel east when leaving South Beach Marina. Do not travel west, under the Yaquina Bay Bridge, or toward the jetties.
• Follow boating rules and etiquette. Keep your speed low enough to create no wake in the marina, and do not drop crab rings in the channel or areas of swift current. Beaching and towing are not permitted.
• Wear appropriate footwear on the boat and in the marina.
• Complete the required waiver and follow its additional rules. You are responsible for collisions, damage to other vessels, and personal injury resulting from your operation of the boat.
• The boat, motor, and propeller are inspected for damage when you return.
