- Arrive 1 hour before departure with a valid driver's license
- Complete the renter's form and sign a damage-responsibility agreement
- Complete a boater safety course before departure unless born after 1972
- Demonstrate safe vessel operation before departing
- Provide a refundable $200 damage deposit; it is returned after the rental if there is no damage or lost gear
- Choose a dock meeting point at booking
- Stay within the designated map area and do not leave the boat unattended
- Ensure everyone under 16 wears a proper life vest while the boat is underway
