Our experience with Snorkeling with Locals was absolutely incredible, and Sarah was AMAZING. Truly such a badass and exactly the kind of person you want guiding you in the ocean. She knows these waters so well and is incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and the island. You can tell how genuinely passionate she is about what she does and how deeply she cares about the island and its ecosystems. My husband and I had a scary experience in the water in the past, which we told Sarah about beforehand, also my husband is not a strong swimmer. Sarah prepared us SO well before we even got in the water and made sure we felt comfortable and knew exactly what to expect. He was able to attach to a floaty and not worry about a thing. Once we were out there, she checked on us and made sure we were good every step of the way. She was patient, attentive, encouraging, and never made us feel judged, pressured, or rushed. We felt completely safe with her. That level of care allowed us to actually relax and experience the ocean in a way we hadn’t been able to before. We booked the sea turtles and coral experience and saw SO much gorgeous wildlife, including a Nassau grouper, a critically endangered species! We got to experience so much of the underwater world, and it was genuinely one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. This was so much more than a snorkeling trip. This was ocean healing!! 🥹🌊🐢 Toward the end, after we’d been snorkeling for a while, I started feeling a little unwell, and Sarah could not have been kinder. She stayed calm, was completely nonjudgmental, and gave me helpful tips to get me feeling better. Even in that moment, I felt completely safe and cared for. I am an anxious person by nature, but I was calm and relaxed the whole trip. If you’re nervous about snorkeling, aren’t a strong swimmer, have had a bad experience in the water before, or simply want to experience the ocean with someone who genuinely knows, respects, and loves these waters and islands, book Snorkeling with Locals and ask for Sarah. We cannot recommend her enough. We already can’t wait to come back and experience this again. This is something my husband and I will remember forever. Thank you Sarah 💙
