Bob stands out as an exceptional guide across multiple reviews, earning praise for his infectious enthusiasm, deep knowledge of Boise history, and ability to keep groups engaged throughout the tours. Adan and Stefanie also receive glowing mentions for their flexibility, humor, and expertise. The food consistently impresses visitors, with generous portions at locally-owned restaurants showcasing everything from Basque cuisine to creative potato dishes. The tours blend excellent tastings with meaningful cultural insights, and guides handle dietary restrictions with care and creativity. Most experiences are overwhelmingly positive, though quality can occasionally vary depending on the guide and restaurant selection. One repeat customer noted a disappointing tour with a late, underprepared guide and mediocre restaurant choices, suggesting some inconsistency in the program. However, this seems to be the exception rather than the rule. The walking tours cover comfortable distances through beautiful downtown areas and the Greenbelt, making them accessible for most fitness levels. Travelers appreciate learning about Boise's local identity, public art, and how the city balances growth with preserving its character.
My husband and I went on the Boise food and cultural walking tour. Adan was such a delightful tour guide making our tour very informative and fun! We live in Meridian and have only lived in Idaho a handful of years. What a great way to learn more about the Basque food and culture along with other local food places, all within a one mile walk.
