Captains Kevin and Lacey are the real stars here, consistently praised across reviews for being knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the area's history. The small group format makes a real difference, keeping things casual and conversational rather than feeling like a packaged tourist experience. The main draw is the trip out to Deer Island, a quiet, undeveloped stretch of beach that gives you a surprisingly natural escape just minutes from the city. Tours range from a quick 45-minute ride to longer private options, with the sunset tour being a particularly popular choice. Pets are welcome too, which is a nice touch. One reviewer did mention skipping out on dolphins during an afternoon trip, so wildlife sightings can vary, but the scenery and the company more than hold their own.
Kevin was an outstanding operator and host. The education was fantastic on the way to the island. The island itself was an escape and I highly recommend this tour.
