Families and first-timers consistently praise the helpful crew who work hard throughout each trip, constantly checking bait buckets, assisting with catches, and keeping spirits high. The captain knows how to find the fish, with most groups reporting solid catches of mango snapper, triggerfish, red snapper, and various other species. The deckhands offer fish cleaning services right at the dock, and several reviewers mentioned taking their catch to nearby restaurants that will cook it for you. Trips typically run about 1.5 to 2 hours out to the fishing spots and the same back. The overall vibe is welcoming and fun, with crew members who are patient with beginners while still getting experienced anglers on fish. Multiple reviewers mention returning several times because of the positive experiences. One review noted disappointment about a rescheduled trip and issues with braided line restrictions, but the overwhelming majority report catching plenty of fish and having a great time. Kids especially seem to love the experience, with parents noting how excited their children were to reel in so many fish.
We had a great time out in January! Mingo was in season but we also caught tiggerfish and "ruby red lips" that were released back. In January, I felt like we were with several "seasoned" fisherman and they caught their daily max! The weather was beautiful and layers were definitely the way to go! No pictures of us with the fish, those are on a other phone.
