Important details
- Bring the card used for your reservation and matching ID to check-in.
- A $200 credit-card damage hold per kayak is required at pickup and is not included in the listed price. The hold is released after an undamaged return, usually within 2–3 days depending on your bank. You are responsible for damage to the kayak and equipment.
- Late returns incur a $10 fee plus a prorated charge based on the rental’s hourly rate, separate from the listed price.
- Stay within Tawas Bay. Do not travel beyond the East Tawas State Docks or the tip of Tawas Point.
- Arrive 15 minutes before your booked start time. Late arrival reduces your rental time; your end time cannot be extended.
- Return to the dock by your scheduled end time. Full-day rentals start at 8:30am and must return by 4pm. Rentals do not extend past 4pm Sunday–Thursday.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel 7+ days ahead: full refund less $10; 3–6 days: 50% refund; under 3 days, late arrivals or no-shows: no refund. If the marina cancels for unsafe weather, no rental charge; cancel or reschedule. Not included in the price: a $200 credit-card damage hold at pickup, released after an undamaged return (usually 2–3 days), and late-return fees of $10 plus prorated hourly overage.
