Know before you go
- Ages 7+ only; children must weigh at least 70 lbs
- Maximum weight: 230 lbs (103 kg); weigh-ins may take place on arrival
- Requires hiking steep, rocky, muddy trails, climbing rocks, and balancing on uneven surfaces
- Cannot accommodate pregnancy, previous injuries, back or knee problems, recent surgery, serious medical conditions, or fear of heights
- Requires understanding English or Spanish; legally blind or deaf travelers require a private tour with dedicated assistance
- Wear closed-toe hiking or tennis shoes with good grip; sandals, flip-flops, and water shoes are not allowed for ziplining
- Wear a bathing suit under comfortable clothing, and bring a towel and dry change of clothes
- Eat breakfast before departure and travel light; no locker facilities are available
- Keep valuables and important documents off the tour; phones require a waterproof case
- No participation while under the influence of alcohol or drugs or while disregarding safety instructions
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 24 hours before pickup for a full deposit refund for groups of up to 6, or 72 hours for 7 or more. Same-day reservations, no-shows, unused spaces, and late cancellations are nonrefundable. Full refund if the operator cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
FAQs
The experience is subject to weather and river conditions. The zipline portion requires at least 8 participants, and the tour may be canceled if that minimum is not met. If the operator cancels, alternative options, rescheduling, or a refund will be offered.
The El Yunque Rainforest Zipline & Hiking Tour usually includes the hike and river activities before the lunch stop and zipline, but the zipline may take place first on some days.
On Saturdays, the hike is longer and more challenging because the tour departs from a different starting point.
