Dylan and his team have clearly built something special here on Beaver Lake. The standout feature across countless reviews is how genuinely accommodating and helpful the staff are—from carrying boards down to the lake for older guests to texting when someone leaves behind water shoes. Dylan gets mentioned by name repeatedly for his patient instruction and willingness to go the extra mile, making even complete beginners feel confident on the water within minutes. Several people who'd failed at paddleboarding elsewhere found success here thanks to the quality teaching. The equipment is consistently praised as well-maintained, and the location on Beaver Lake is stunning with crystal-clear water revealing fish below and dramatic rock formations to explore. They offer both kayaks and paddleboards for rent, plus unique options like hangout hammocks for relaxing on the water. The Friday sunset paddles come highly recommended. First-timers and experienced paddlers alike seem to leave happy, with many already planning return trips. Multiple reviews mention how easy the entire process is, from booking to getting on the water.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – Highly Recommend! We had an amazing experience with the guided eco paddleboard tour! I was traveling with my 15-year-old niece and 10-year-old nephew, and Dylan was fantastic from start to finish. Before our tour, Dylan was very communicative and even reached out to discuss water traffic and safety, recommending an earlier start time for calmer conditions. Since that wasn't possible for us, he talked through the options and helped us make an informed decision. It was clear that safety was his top priority. Before we got on the water, he gave us a quick lesson on basic paddleboard strokes and techniques, which was perfect since we had very little experience. Throughout the tour, Dylan was patient, encouraging, and especially great with my 10-year-old, helping build his confidence without ever making us feel rushed. We went on a Friday morning, and while a few boats created some waves, we spent most of the tour enjoying calm water and felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Dylan shared interesting facts about Beaver Lake along the way, making it more than just a paddle—it was a fun learning experience as well. One of the highlights was getting to jump off a small cliff into the lake, which the kids absolutely loved. We all left feeling like we had learned a new skill and made some great memories. Another unexpected bonus was that Dylan is also a photographer. He took photos and videos of us throughout the tour, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy the experience without worrying about taking pictures ourselves. Those memories are something we'll always have, and they added tremendous value to the tour. A few helpful tips for future visitors: There is a $4 self-service parking permit required (bring exact cash/change). The parking lot is designed primarily for vehicles with boat trailers, so cars without trailers should park along the side as requested. There are several nice swimming areas nearby if you want to spend additional time at the lake. There are no lifeguards, so swim at your own risk, but the water was clean, clear, and beautiful. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone—especially families looking to try paddleboarding for the first time.
